MDPL New Shooters Qualification Course

The course will be from 9am-5pm with a break for lunch.
This course an IPSC black badge or active Military/LEO credentials are a requirement for participating in MDPL matches.
Course participants must be CSSA members. The course is $50 + CSSA membership ($45) for a total of $95.
Required Equipment:
- ‘Stock’ handgun and 2 magazines / 3 speed loaders or magazines recommended)
- Belt Holster (no shoulder rigs, no ‘speed’/open holsters)
- Belt ammo carriers also recommended (i.e. mag pouches)
- 200 rounds of ammo (minimum)
- Concealment garment (vest, jacket etc…)
- Eye & ear protection
The course will cover:
- IDPA rules, and range commands
- Range safety
- Drawing from a holster, drawing from concealment
- Target engagement
- Shooting from cover, shooting on the move
- Reloads (tactical reload, reload with retention)
