We had a great kickoff to the 2018 season, thanks to everyone who came out. There was healthy competition for the 1911 cup with 11 shooters in the running. Four one hundredths of a second decided the winner with Tom G coming out on top!

Tentative match dates for 2018 are now posted – 2018 Schedule

Our next match is the 1911 Cup happening on January 27th at the Firing Line in Winnipeg.

Shotgun Rules

We generally follow the IDPA Defensive Multi Gun rules for our matches which you can find here: IDPA DMG Rule Book

The following rule amendments are MDPL club rules:
All shooters – Chamber flags are required (flags will be available for loan or purchase, $2)
Stock Division (Manual action)
– Iron sights ONLY
– MAXIMUM of 12 rounds of ammunition are allowed to be carried onto a stage (MAX 6 in gun)
Enhanced Division (Manual & Semiautomatic)
– Box magazine fed shotguns are allowed
– Optical sights are allowed
– Any ammo carrier position allowed
NOTE: Spare shotgun ammo may be carried on the shotgun, in pockets or behind the hipbone on  your belt. Competition style ammo carriers worn in front of the hipbone may be used in enhanced divisions or for initial loading in any division.
